Inheritance disputes

If someone passes away and they do not adequately provide for those that they leave behind claims can be brought under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependents) Act 1975 so that parties may ask the court to allow for the Estate to be altered to allow reasonable financial provision for them. 

There are various matters that a court will consider and our advisors can guide you through those specifics. If you wish to contest the Will you do need consider the matter quickly as an application to the court needs to be made within 6 months of the Grant of Representation. It is important that you get the proper legal advice in time to make sure that you can fight your case.

Will validity

Sometimes parties have genuine concerns as to whether or not a Will is valid. It can be suggested that the Will was influenced by third parties, or isn’t the last Will made.
