About the Hessle Office – Devine Law with BG Solicitors LLP

At the Hessle office of BG Solicitors LLP we are known as “Devine Law with BG Solicitors LLP” to reflect the recent transition into new ownership. We are Business, Commercial and Property lawyers and we also have an experienced Insolvency Practitioner to hand and insolvency expertise.

Our services include a significant range of commercial property and development advice, including all commercial property sales and purchases and drafting and advising on registered and unregistered leases for both landlords and tenants, along with general residential.

Location, location, location – Hesslewood Office Park

The office is conveniently placed just off the A63 in Hessle, just a minutes’ drive from the main Humber Bridge roundabout. We are based on an idyllic tree laden campus overlooking the Humber Estuary and the Humber Bridge. Parking is both plentiful and free, directly outside our office.  The site is also resident to several peacocks, so please keep a close eye out for our friendly neighbours when visiting our offices!

Anthony Hakes and Michaela Richardson are both Partners of BG Solicitors LLP and have over 33 years of experience between them acting for clients on all ranges of Property matters.  They specialise in Commercial Property, including buying, selling and leases, and Development sites including site acquisition, infrastructure agreements, and plot sales thereafter. Anthony also specialises in general Residential sales and purchases.  They have built up an excellent reputation for a personal service, that is client focused and outcome driven.

Fran Devine is a Consultant Solicitor with more than 30 years’ experience as a solicitor involved in business, company and commercial law.  Advice ranges from drafting bespoke contracts and preparing terms and conditions of business, through to selling businesses small and large and handling complex and significant company share sales, and everything in-between. Fran has an outstanding reputation for her client service and legal knowledge having previously run Devine Law Limited for many years as a sole practitioner.

Insolvency 

Fran Devine is a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner of more than 30 years.  Her licence allows her to take appointments to assist directors and shareholders wanting to wind up their company, whether as a solvent liquidation to obtain the advantageous rate of tax relief or in more difficult times, as a creditors voluntary liquidation.  When advising on any form of insolvency all of the available options and the impacts of them are explained in detail.

We also act for individuals and companies affected by insolvency and advise on every insolvency related issue.  This includes advising directors impacted by the insolvency of their company, perhaps having to respond to claims raised by a liquidator.
